I believe that a book should communicate well and give pleasure to all the senses. It is a whole object not a set of double page spreads with a cover.

A books designed by me at Pelinore Press and printed by local printers KMS have been short-listed two years running (2011 and 2012) for the British Book Design and Production Awards.

Complete Book Design

My years of experience designing layout and illustrating anything from small booklets to large academic volumes means that I can work with a book from beginning to end – from a manuscript, though the editorial and design challenges, to print, binding and delivery.

I have the technical expertise to guide you through the print stage of your project. I work directly with the printer to solve any problems and keep your project moving forward, whenever possible working with local printers and binders, using environmentally sound materials.

Graphics and Illustrations

I can create illustrations for a wide range of purposes within the book – not just the cover – e.g. location maps, family trees, technical diagrams, line drawings, and colour tonal drawings.
My wide knowledge of Photoshop means I am also able to restore, retouch or amend supplied photographs.
